Welcome Home Memo!

Those of you who come across this randomly may never have had the pleasure of knowing The Lockharts. Today is an amazing day in the life of the Lockhart family. The long journey to bring their son Memo ended today when they landed in Houston around 10:30am this morning and then headed home on a simple domestic flight from there.

Those who have spent time on the Guatemala Adoption Forum are quite familiar with the quest to bring Memo home. For over 2 years the Lockharts have given their lives, the love, their efforts, and all of who they are to bring him home. It is an amazing journey that I can only hope to relate to you one day.

I write this post simply as a digital monument to the day Memo/Nicholas came home with his Mommy and Daddy.

The amazing story of Memo and the Lockharts is one of love, dedication, frustration, exhilaration, anger, sadness, joy, and excitement. On top of that, there is a knee injury to take the cake. Oh man am I glad to know Memo will sleep in his new home today.

I personally want to say that the Lockhart family was an encouragement to me personally through our adoption and there are countless others who have been encouraged by your strength. No doubt you will never know how you and your perseverance have shaped the lives of so many others.
