ATTENTION all of you Internet junkies! Those of you who can't leave the forums, the blogs, etc. Even those of you just entering the process.

OK I'm not the biggest for online chatting. In my day job as a Youth Minister, I have IM so the kids can keep up with me but I'd rather talk in person or at least on the phone. HOWEVER... During our adoption, I found the Adoption Chat Rooms to be a great place to fellowship (pardon the old school word) and get to know each other. I've gotten immediate response to questions I had and I also felt it was more personal than the forum.

So here is the deal, you can chat anytime you like by heading to http://forums.adoption.com. However, often there is no one in the Guatemala Adoption Chat room. Generally, the gang that hangs out on the Guatemala Forum which is rather large, designates a time to meet in the chat room.

So you have one of two choices. If you want to talk online with someone now, just leave a post on the Guatemala Adoption Forum and usually you'll get a few takers pretty soon. Otherwise, keep your eyes out for the next "CHAT TONIGHT" posting. Chat sessions usually are scheduled on a 3 hour window of people coming and going. Though you're just on your computer...it feels like a party. It has seemed that Thursday nights from 9-12pm Eastern time (6-9pm Pacific) have been the popular choice. So I will set it for the upcoming week. Mark it on your calendar to be there.
