Have you ever seen those virtual tours? You know the ones I’m talking about where you click on the link and you see a picture. Then by moving your mouse the view changes and you can look 360 degrees around you in whatever location the picture was shot. Come check out Guate360’s virtual tours of Guatemala. They are broken up individually so that you can look at which ever one you like.
You can link to the entire site by clicking here or you can visit some of my favorites:
La Quinta de los Flores in Antigua – There are many of this hotel but this one is my favorite.
A view of Central Park, Antigua – This was taken from the famous fountain
Posada Don Rodrigo – This is from the main porch. Pretty cool eh? If you don’t stay there, at least go see it!
The Volcanoes… - Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. You have to see this photo!
Once you see a couple of these, you are on your own. you literally could explore this gallery of 260 panorama photos for hours and be amazed be each one. This is extremely helpful for those of you thinking of staying in one of the hotels listed here.
One of the reasons I keep pointing you to sites with photos is because of their power to strike up memories for those of us who have been there and anticipation for those who have not. It is definitely worth the effort and the money to purchase a good camera and to develop at least a working knowledge of it. I would definitely recommend a digital camera as well. You will never be sorry that you took to many pictures but you will always be sorry if you took to few or none at all.
