Lisa -

Wonderful topic and one that is near to my heart..... I feel very strongly about "giving back" as you say.....I can't explain why I feel so strongly -- other than we absolutely love guatemala and after living there for 8 mos we saw such GREAT need.......

But then again there is geat need everywhere..... in our own country and communities.. so many hurting people and children...

But getting back to Guatemala ~ We feel a connection to this beautiful place and have in the past been actively involved with humanitarian efforts.

Mayan Families is awesome! Sharon Smart Page is one amazing lady - so dedicated to the children and families she works with.

Also - www.worldlinkpartners.org..... The Deardons are personal friends of ours..... wonderful people with big hearts!

So much to do there and yes, I do feel we should all consider doing something to give back to Guatemala... we have been so blessed, don't you think?

Blessings,
Thanks for your comment Carla. Yes, heading there is perhaps the best way to give back, if it is possible.
SO INTERESTING about your sister (Ill email you privately)...it is hard to know how to give back.

simple tithing (both SP and for lack of a better word) or heading to Guat. yearly to WORK (and donating money...this is my preferred mode I think...donate what we can but head there and actually physically help as well)...
