I’m never one to usher you off to another site. However, I am going to post a link here for you to go visit. When you go you don’t have to sign up for anything, take surveys, or give your left pinky. No instead, while doing research I ran across this really cool site on Flickr.com by a user who calls himself Kaptain Krispy Kreme. The “Kaptain” is actually a pilot for a private company and these shots were taken on trip to Guatemala City.

I found myself stuck inside the slideshow as image after image rolled by. Some of the images are amazing and beautiful and some were just pictures of ordinary everyday Guatemala City. I found myself saying “I’ve been there” and “Aww man I’d love to eat there today.” There are some good views of the Marriott, the airport, shopping centers, and the Artisans Market. You can look at the pictures one by one or choose the “Slideshow” feature on the top left. I did both.

OK so go to his site by clicking here.

If you have a flickr account, leave the guy a message telling him what you think or what you know/remember about the things in his photos. If you don’t have an account, then just watch the show and enjoy. You can always sign up for free and leave him a message but… It’s still not like being there but man it brought back memories for me!

Special thanks to Travis Church (the Kaptain) for taking the time on the phone with me and sharing a bit about the photos. He hopes you enjoy them!
