		<description>I agree with all you said.  I believe that early intervention for speech and language delays (and sensory integration problems) should be the norm for international adoptees.&lt;br /&gt;

Sadly, even the EI folks will often take a &quot;wait and see&quot; attitude when faced with a newly adopted child, stating that until the child has time to &quot;adjust&quot; to their new home, surroundings, language, culture, it&#039;s hard to &quot;label&quot; their delay as a problem.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Since they won&#039;t &quot;label&quot; the child is missing a critical window of intervention.  SIGH!</description>
