This is another fairly specific grant but definitely one worth mentioning. This grant goes to those adopting from Celebrate Children International. When visiting the websites, the first place I look is their Mission and/or Vision Statements. Christian Adoption Resouces Incorporated (CARI) writes:
CARI is a non-profit and non-denominational ministry committed to promoting adoption on behalf of all the orphaned and abandoned children of the world.
We do this by:
1. Providing financial and informational resources for Christian couples in the adoptive process.
3. Encouraging an increased care for needy children through various means, whether it is adoption, child-sponsorship, mission trips, fund-raising, etc.
2. Raising awareness about adoption and the needs of children around the world.Adoption. Perhaps the most beautiful word ever uttered. Adoption was originally God’s idea! It was His intent…his purpose for humankind. He adopted the children of Israel as His own…and then made a way for the entire Gentile world to become His adopted children as well. You will find a common thread of adoption woven throughout Biblical history: Moses was adopted, Samuel, Esther…even Jesus was adopted by Joseph!
If you lean in and listen closely, you’ll hear that adoption is still the very heartbeat of God.
As I said before, this seems to be limited to Christian couples or those adopting from Celebrate Children Int’l. For more information on the qualifications, visit the site listed above.
Often people wonder why grant distributors are so specific with their gifts. As this and many other sites indicate, grant requests come in such great volume that they must be somewhat specific in order to narrow the field. All of them wish they had enough to go around to everyone but the gifts to these grant organizations doesn’t come close to meeting the tremendous need.
