In a continual effort to provide information regarding funding and preparation for adoption, I would like to introduce you to A Child Waits Foundation. Below is a few excerpts from their site to give you more information.

A Child Waits Foundation is a nonprofit charitable foundation formed in 1998. Our purpose is: To increase the number of children who are adopted by making available low interest loans to eligible families to help with some of the cost of adoption. By making low-interest loans to prospective parents, A Child Waits Foundation is able to help change a child's future from one without hope and to help fulfill a dream for many families. Currently the Foundation employs very few staff, therefore expenses are low and a large portion of the Foundation's funds goes directly to prospective parents to help save children from a parentless life.

A Child Waits Foundation was formed by Cynthia and Randolph Nelson who live and run the foundation from the Berkshires in Massachusetts. The Nelsons decided to begin the foundation after they adopted two children from Russia in 1995. They have since adopted another child from Romania in 2001.

A Child Waits Foundation has provided financial assistance to 457 families to help bring 605 children home. They have assisted 19 children from Guatemala in being united with their adoptive parents.
