A Child's Desire offers two fundraising options. I'm going to pull the information pretty much straight from their site so I get it right. I've given you their contact info if this is something you want to do.

#1. You can sell magazine subscriptions weher $0.40 of every subscription dollar goes toward your adoption. It looks easier than you might think! Click here to check it out!

#2. Child Safety ID Cards - This will involve some work on your part but apparently would be worth the effort. Here is a little more about it.

Safety Photo ID Cards

This is a great opportunity to fundraise for your own adoption and earn money for another needy child at the same time.

You also get to provide a great service for children in your local community. This program works great in preschools and daycares.

Parents pay $9 for a 5 piece set (3 ID cards and 2 shoetags). You get $2 per child for your own adoption expenses. PLUS we will make $1 per photo donation to your favorite nonprofit adoption agency.

SO! What is your responsibility?

Your basic responsibilities will include contacting day cares and preschools in your local area, and setting up appointments to take pictures of the kids at the various schools.

You will take the pictures, crop and resize them, and enter the kids’ information into an Excel spreadsheet. We will provide you with parent letters explaining the program to be handed out by the daycare manager.

It's easy and we've had about a 90% success rate with daycares inviting us to work the program. It's a good product at a good price, so it doesn't involve a heavy sales pitch.

Still interested? Even if your a bit skeptical, read a little further.

Who Keeps the Child ID?

Every family member, care-giver, or institution that cares for or supervises the child should have a current copy of the child ID card readily available. The ID cards are a valuable resource for children and parents to have in their possession. Schools, daycare centers, care-givers, baby-sitters, and family members who care for the child should have a copy of the ID card as well.

About ID Cards

For a low price, you may have your ID printed on high-quality material. These ID cards make terrific and inexpensive keepsakes! In addition to the obvious benefits of readily available information for authorities in an emergency, these Child ID cards ultimately become cherished keepsakes for family members chronicling the progression of a child's growth as they grow and change during their precious early years. Additional cards for grandparents, aunts, uncles and close family members make terrific yet inexpensive mementos.

ID Tags

It's is also important for children to have a resource with your contact information on them. If they are injured or lost, the identifying information can help law enforcement or concerned citizens contact you. ID tags, complete with parent name and phone numbers, can be tied into shoes, backpacks, wallets, fanny packs or purses.

If you have been a part of either one of these fundraising opportunities, I would love to hear your feedback on them!
